Last night was our first night sleeing in the new apartment and it was wonderful to say the least!
Anna and I had dinner out on the balcony and watched the boats on the lake, the helicopter tours flying below us and the planes coming in and out t=of out of the airport on Toronto Island. She could see all the rides being built for the CNE's grand opening and loved watching the cars along Lakeshore Blvd pass by
lol
Everyone in the building has dogs, and Anna was more than happy o talk to and pet each one she met while we bringing stuff up to our new home, on the 22nd floor. The people here are great and they seem very welcoming and down to earth. I admit I was a bit put off by some of the more 'upper crust' areas and condos in the area, as I found many of the people cold and too into themselves for my own liking. So far we are felling very welcome here in our new place, and I love that!
It seems as though all of Toronto has rolled out the welcome wagon to us, and they've decided to throw a parade in our honor. Actually it's the opening ceremonies for the CNE; but I told Anna it's for us and we're gonna watch it from the balcony at 10am and pretend it's all ours
lol
Sebbie it seems, is a bit more relcutant to come up here. He's upset about leaving Waterloo and all his friends behind, and I totally understand that. But I've chosen a place with lots of kids in the area. There's a school right down the street and his own school is just beyond that, on the oposit side of King. There's so many kids out there everytime I pass by, and last night there was actually one of those soft serve ice cream trucks sitting right there selling icecream to all the kids and families at the school. I know he's gonna love it here eventually; but he just has to get here and see it for himself.
There's so much ging on in oronto, there's always something to see and do.
I'm gonna call his school this morning andget him all set up for September. We'll mak sure to go there and see it before school starts. I'm just so excited and I can't wait for him to get here and see the wonder that Toronto and own home has to offer!
Opening ceremonies will be starting in a few hours, so I'm gonna get the balcony all set up so Anna and I can ave a latebreakfast and enjoy the show. The CNE runs for about 3 weeks, so yes- Ther's a Party in the GTA!
