"There is a star, there must be one. Whatever you wish it will be done. And if you believe the star's always shining... There is a star!" ~ Pharao
You never know what's gonna happen next. Many times things can blind side you, right in the middle of your happiness. Your world falls apart, your lost and alone. Nothing makes sense and everything seems so hard, if not impossible.
But there is a real strength in these moments. Even though we feel so very weak and unsure of ourselves, our choices. There is a slight comfort of sorts, in knowing that we can, and will carry on.
It's in that hurt and dismay, that total breakdown of what we once held as priority, we see what is truly valuable in life, and in love.
Of all that we've accumulated over the years, we see what truly lasts. Material possessions lose their worth, and family and friends become more valued. Perhaps more so then they ever were.
Weather it be your business, your finance, your marriage, your family, or your network of friends that has fallen apart, things regain there true placement in the hierarchy of your life. The ratio of wants vs. needs takes on a new life, as you rebuild yourself from your recent battle, or loss.
As you re evaluate what is needed against what is disposable in your world, you find that you've indulged yourself much more then you ever realized. All those trinkets, gadgets, false friendships and sudo relationships, show themselves for the worthless bit of trash they really are. So much time and money wasted on collecting and maintaining them, makes you wonder why you ever bothered or cared. But as you sort through the rubbish and find those little jewels amongst the debris. The treasures of memories and of love, you remember it was all for not. Even though things may be falling quickly to your feet at the moment, there was a time all was right with the world and in your life.
It may be too late to go back and salvage what is now broken; but that's OK. Things will once again build and grow. Into a new life, with new meaning and possibilities. Because you are strong enough to make it, and make it happen once again.
"Into every life a little rain must fall" ~Longfellow
But after that rain comes a sense of peace and clarity.
So it is at this time, in that sense of solace, you must remember that there is a star shining amidst the darkness. A bright light of hope and possibility, looming in the night.
Step back from your current struggle and see what life is truly meant to be. What holds real value, and what is most important in this world.
Sometimes the hardest thing is letting go. But it's OK to feel that way, and to have those doubts. That's what makes us wonderfully human and divine. The better things in life never come easy. It is now time to sort through the lonely ashes and find the glowing embers of true treasures in your life.
And always remember there is that star, that hope, that dream.
It lies deep inside all of us, waiting to shine through.
There is a star!
